The Chah-Firoozeh porphyry Cu deposit, located 32 km north of Shahr-e Babak (Kerman belt), Iran, hosts 379 Mt grading 0.25% Cu. Mineralization occurs within a granitoid stock (quartz diorite to quartz monzodiorite) intruding andesitic rocks. Primary mineralization comprises pyrite, chalcopyrite, bornite, and magnetite in stockwork and disseminated textures. Geochemically, the porphyry shows LILE enrichment and HFSE/HREE depletion. High Sr/Y ratios, low Y, and a negative Nb anomaly confirm an adakitic signature with crustal contamination. Type I adakitic granitoid affinity is indicated by La/Yb > 20, a positive Eu anomaly, Sr/Y > 30, and specific [La]ₙ/[Yb]ₙ - [Yb]ₙ ratios. Batch melting models suggest 3–10% garnet in the residue and crustal thickening (~45 km). These geochemical features indicate Cu mineralization formed in a syn- to post-collisional setting, derived from juvenile mafic lower-crust within thickened lithosphere at the study area.
