Aminabad barite deposit is located about 30 km east of the Boein-Miandasht area, in the middle part of the Sanandaj-Sirjan magmatic-metamorphic zone. The available rock units include green trachy-andesites, calcareous sandstone, limestone to dolomitic-limestone, conglomerate and sandy-limestone with the Jurassic-Cretaceous age as well as Holocene alluviums. This field consists of two parts: Stringer and Stratiform. The Stringer zone consists of trachy-andesites that is cut by sulfide-bearing barite-quartz veins. The Stratiform mass is placed in the form of a lenticular mass on the stringer part and consists of mass barite with small amounts of sulfide ore. The low salinity in the fluids can indicate the origin of sea water, which together with the average homogenization temperature indicating the rotation and upward movement of fluids due to heating by a hydrothermal source and at the cold end, therefore deposition of sulfide and sulfate took place due to mixing with sea water similar to Kuroko-type sulfide deposits.
