Shock metamorphism is one of the most important processes affecting the textural and structural characteristics of meteorites. In this study, the Toroud 002 chondritic meteorite was investigated using petrographic and micro-Raman analyses to characterize shock metamorphic features and evaluate the capability of micro-Raman spectroscopy for detecting structural damage. Petrographic observations revealed undulatory extinction, crystal fracturing and fragmentation, chondrule deformation, shock veins and microveins, indicating the influence of impact-related processes and the spatial heterogeneity of shock effects within the sample. The micro-Raman spectra also exhibited variations in band resolution and separation, peak broadening, and spectral background. In deformed regions, reduced band resolution and an enhanced spectral background were observed, consistent with increased structural damage to the crystal lattice. The results demonstrate that the integration of petrographic analysis and micro-Raman spectroscopy provides a non-destructive approach for evaluating shock effects. However, the quantitative interpretation of Raman parameters requires careful
