The Kangareh mafic intrusions, located in the northern Sanandaj–Sirjan Zone near Qorveh, represent part of the Mesozoic magmatism of this belt. This study investigates their petrography, geochemistry, magma source, and tectonic setting. Petrographic observations indicate that the rocks mainly consist of gabbro to gabbrodiorite with granular to porphyritic textures. Whole-rock geochemical data reveal a subalkaline affinity with calc-alkaline characteristics. Trace element patterns display enrichment in large-ion lithophile elements (LILE) relative to high-field-strength elements (HFSE), together with negative Nb, Ta, and Ti anomalies, indicating a subduction-related magmatic origin. Tectonic discrimination diagrams place the samples within the volcanic arc basalt and active continental margin fields. Non-modal batch melting modeling based on rare earth elements suggests that the parental magma was generated by 4–20% partial melting of a spinel lherzolite to spinel–garnet lherzolite transition source. These findings indicate derivation from an enriched mantle source metasomatized by fluids and melts released during Neo-Tethyan subduction.
