Based on the present study, Heazlewoodite (Ni3S2), Pentlandite [FeNi9S8], Bravoite [(FeNiCo)S2], Vaesite (NiS2) and Polydymite (Ni2S4) were identified as the most abundant sulfide minerals in chromite ores from Sikhoran ultramafic-mafic complex in the Esfandagheh area, south of Kerman province. Also, sulfo-arsenide and nickel arsenides such as Gersdorffite (NiAsS) and Dienerite (AsNi3), nickel-iron alloy such as Awaruite (FeNi3-FeNi2) and Platinum group elements were mainly identified as palladium-based alloys such as Pd-Te, Pd-Cu, Pd-Cu-Zn-Ni. Based on the present study, all sulfide minerals are single unhedral grains with a variable size of 0.5 mm to 2mm and platinum group elements minerals in the serpentinized matrix, and also fractures filled with lizardite serpentine in chromite and olivine minerals. Such mode of occurrence has been interpreted as the hydrothermal origin of sulfide and platinum group elements minerals in the studied chromite ores due to the static serpentinization process of donite host rock.
