The gabbroic–dioritic intrusive bodies east and northeast of Malekan are located in the southwestern part of East Azerbaijan Province, in the northern sector of the Hamadan–Orumieh structural zone. In this study, mineral chemistry, pressure–temperature (P–T) conditions of crystallization, and the tectonomagmatic setting of these bodies have been investigated using chemical data from plagioclase and clinopyroxene minerals. The mineral chemistry results indicate that plagioclases in gabbros are mainly of labradorite composition, whereas in differentiated rocks they have andesine composition. Clinopyroxenes are predominantly within the augite–diopside compositional range and are classified as Ca-rich clinopyroxenes. The mineral chemical evidence points to a sub-alkaline to calc-alkaline nature for the parental magma. Thermobarometric results from clinopyroxenes indicate an average crystallization temperature of about 1200°C and pressures of less than 10 kbar. Furthermore, the chemical composition of clinopyroxenes, plotted on tectonic discrimination diagrams, falls within the island-arc field,
