The growing demand for high-energy-density lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) has increased interest in lithium-rich layered oxides (LLOs) as promising cathode materials. In this study, LMNCO was composited with graphene oxide (GO) and reduced graphene oxide (rGO) to enhance its electrochemical performance. The structural and morphological characteristics of the prepared samples were investigated using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM). The results revealed that GO and rGO coatings expanded the lattice parameters and significantly improved the electrochemical performance of LMNCO. Among the prepared samples, the rGO-modified cathode exhibited the best electrochemical performance, delivering an initial discharge capacity of 279.4 mAh g⁻¹ and an initial coulombic efficiency of 87.4% in the first cycle. These findings demonstrate that surface modification with graphene-based materials is an effective strategy for enhancing the electrochemical stability and energy density of lithium-rich layered oxide cathodes.
